Deep Dive into CAHC Standards IV and V -- Wed. March 14th @ Ocean County Dept. of Human Services | Toms River | New Jersey | United States

WHY STANDARDS IV and V?
All five standards that must be met to achieve CAHC accreditation were developed to provide and maintain a high level of patient care. Each standard contains a list of the standard’s “intents”, the intentions behind the creation of each specific standard. Standards IV and V are comprised of the most intentions — 19 intents each — of all the five standards. It’s a lot to know, to understand, and to review and discuss when they change.

This is why CAHC offers a separate workshop, a “Deep Dive Review”, devoted to your staff’s understanding of Standards IV and V. And we offer this workshop not only for fully accredited agencies but for agencies considering seeking accreditation as well, so that you can get a window on the process. CAHC Accredited providers enjoy a 50% discount off the workshop fee. CAHC is dedicated to ensuring that your staff acquires and understands requirements and instructions up-to-the-minute, so they are always in complete compliance. CAHC wants to be your partner through accreditation and for the life of your agency.

Why has CAHC, in its role as defined by the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs, poured so much into these particular two standards? Because the intentions underlying these standards cover components of the clinical standards of practice, which are at the very core of home health care. Standard IV, for example addresses how agencies select vital personnel, the people who will hold the lives of loved ones in their hands, and will monitor their performance. And similarly, Standard V speaks directly to the key personnel of every home health care provider: the onsite registered nurse who is entrusted with clinical oversight of all patient care services.
